Time running out to get on Roll

Posted: 02/04/15

Deadline for registering is the 9th April.

To be on the Final Electoral Roll (and be sent a voting pack automatically in the mail), you must be enrolled on either the resident or non-resident ratepayer electoral roll by close-of-business Thursday 9 April 2015.

This is the legal date for the roll to close.

Anyone who is already on a Parliamentary Roll within the Whangarei District Council area will automatically be enrolled on the WDC resident electoral roll (unless they have just turned 18 or recently moved houses).

You can CHECK you’re on the Roll, CHANGE your details or ENROL yourself here

You can still enrol up until the day before close of voting (close of business Thursday 4 June 2015) but you must request or collect a special vote to do so (special votes are not posted).

If you have any questions about voting, you can phone Election Services on 0800 922 822.

If you are going to be away from Whangarei during the postal voting period (mid May to first week of June) you can phone Election Services on 0800 922 822 to make special arrangements.

Information from the Whangarei District Council regarding the referendum can be found on their website here.
